Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s gift to Shamakhy residents

Huge infrastructure projects contributing to socioeconomic and cultural development and improvement of living conditions are implemented in all regions of Azerbaijan, including Shamakhy.

Performed in frame of the State Programme on socioeconomic development of regions, these projects are the results of the attention President Ilham Aliyev pays to all regions of the republic, as well Shamakhy, the bright example of ancient history, rich cultural values of Azerbaijan. And Heydar Aliyev Foundation does a lot in this field.

These words were said in the ceremony of presentation held related to the next support by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to ‘Clean City, Convenient Transport’ Project realized in Shamakhy.

Head of the district executive power Nazim Ismailov said for the past years at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative 5 schools seating 780 pupils were built in the district, the 480-seat lyceum with bias of technical, humanitarian and natural sciences, the 200-seat secondary school in Galeybughurd village capitally repaired. The Chess School was fundamentally repaired and equipped with latest appliances in the previous year under initiative and support of the Foundation, ancient Shamakhy Mosque is under basic reconstruction, new building is being constructed for Children Art School. The 16-flat new dwelling building is under construction for young IDP families due to funds of the Foundation. 

Last December 4 buses made abroad were donated to the district by the Foundation. To support the ‘Clean City, Convenient Transport’ Project, on the eve of Gurban Holiday the Foundation donated 2 modern buses, 3 trucks carrying domestic wastes to the district. The buses will assure convenient transportation of people to Sabir settlement, newly opened Diagnostics Center, bus station, Az Samand Plant and other places.

Speakers expressed gratitude to President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, talked of great socioeconomic achievements gained in the country under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, noted residents of Shamakhy will firmly back the President for the progress of Azerbaijan in all spheres.    

Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s spokesperson Ilgar Mustafayev gave greetings and congratulations from the Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva to the people of Shamakhy.

Then, keys to the motors sent by Heydar Aliyev Foundation were presented to the drivers.
