Heydar Aliyev Foundation initiates charity event in Tbilisi

A charity event was held in Tbilisi at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The event organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy to Germany and Georgian Businessmen Association gathered representatives of various nationalities at the Children Home No1.

Expressing gratitude to the visitors, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and employees of the Embassy, Director of the Home Leila Merabashvili said: ‘These children always need attention and care. We are grateful to Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the attention and presents’.

Counselor of the Embassy Shovgi Mehdizade said the main aim of the event is to take care of children, improve their knowledge on Azerbaijan, its history and culture that they can contribute to the friendship between the two nations. 

Children were presented with an encyclopedia, textbooks in Georgian and keepsakes.

Tbilisi-based Ceyran dancing group presented Georgian and Azerbaijani dances.
