Russia office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation holds charity actions in Moscow and 13 regions of the country

On the New Year’s eve, Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) and All-Russian Azerbaijan Congress held charity actions in Moscow and regions of Russia at the initiative of Leila Aliyeva, the Head of Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.


Employees of Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and members of AYOR visited several children homes, a rehabilitation centre in Moscow, where celebrations were organized for kids with participation of Santa Claus, Snow Maiden and other tale characters.


Charity actions were arranged at rehabilitation centers No43 and No11, Children Home No12, the B.V.Petrovski Scientific Surgery Center of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Russia, the Yujnoye Butovo Social Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children in Moscow. In the next few days, the actions will be held at Children Home No48 and Children Home-Boarding School No7 as well.


New Year congratulations by Mrs Leila Aliyeva were extended to children, who were presented gifts, including Eastern sweets, fruits, clothing, books, and sweets sent from Baku by Heydar Aliyev Foundation. One of the children homes was donated a TV set, while each of others a computer, an audio system, MP3 players.


Similar actions were organized in Sankt Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Vladimir, Tula, Kaluga, Tver, Kirov, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk, Lipetsk, Tyumen, Yaroslavl provinces and Udmurtia as well.


As a logical continuation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activity, the Foundation’s Representation in Russia has regularly been holding such actions in this country for 4 years, changing fairytales into reality for children deprived of parental care and suffering from diseases.


Members of AYOR founded a year ago by L.Aliyeva are also actively involved in the actions.


Managers of the children homes covered by the actions expressed gratitude to Leila Aliyeva, noting these actions contribute to the maintenance of friendly relations between the two nations.
