President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended ceremonies to lay the foundation of a modern school and present a municipal equipment in Bina settlement of Khazar district

Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, attended ceremonies to lay the foundation of a modern school and present a municipal equipment in Bina settlement of Khazar district, December 28.

Bina, the one of 12 big settlements in Khazar district, is the largest for population. Significant successes have been achieved for the past years in Khazar district thanks to huge works done under leadership of the head of state. Large scale improvement measures have been taken in Bina settlement, social objects, roads built, new workplaces opened. The number of residents exceeds 70.000 as result of the newly built residential area, which in its turn demands new schools, kindergartens, medical centers and other social objects.

Thanks to the care rendered to residents of Bina by Mehriban Aliyeva, the MP from Khazar district, the settlement is enriched with newly built social-cultural objects, rest parks. The President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation regularly visits the settlement, meets with residents to know their problems. New institutions constructed on the initiative of the Foundation, which finds education a priority in its action, have lifted the number of schools and kindergartens in the district. Reconstruction and repair works carried out at schools and kindergartens, construction of secondary buildings, supplying those objects with new equipments aim providing a high quality education to children in Bina. Successfully continuing this mission, Heydar Aliyev Foundation made a New Year gift to Bina settlement.  

During familiarization with the project of a new modern school to be constructed within the New School to New Azerbaijan Project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva was informed the 600-pupil, 3-floor school covers 1,26 hectares. It will have 17 classrooms, 15 subject rooms, lab, computer room, library, gym, diner, assembly hall, administrative rooms, a hall for different events.

In the yard there will be rest corners for primary schoolchildren, football, basketball, volleyball fields.

The School will include a boiler house, water pump station, transformer and reservoir.

The School will eliminate a pupil density at educational institutions and contribute to the employment of residents.

Then, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva met with residents. She said:

I first of all want to express my gratitude to you. I am very grateful to you for voting for me in the parliamentary elections, for your support. I am sure we together will get all the goals. Today we are meeting for a very nice reason. The foundation of a new school is being laid in Bina. This is a quite modern school. The 600-pupil school will meet the latest standards. We take into consideration that population in Bina settlement increases and it is amazing. Surely, there are 5 schools. But one another is very nice. Today we are laying its foundation. I hope like other schools this one will also be constructed and opened in time.

I cordially congratulate you on New Year and World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, wish you health and happiness. I express my deep thanks to you.

Resident Baladadash Gurbanov thanked Mrs Aliyeva on behalf of residents for the care and attention, saying construction of this school will be the best New Year present for residents. He said the works done in the settlement under patronage of Mehriban Aliyeva bring a joy to thousands of families.

Residents congratulated the First Lady on New Year and World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day, wished her success.

Then, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva laid the foundation of the School.

She let the capsule into the foundation, pushed the button laying a mix of concrete.

Then, an equipment purchased to implement the social projects of the Khazar Development Foundation was presented. 3 water trucks, 2 self unloading and 4 waste carrying Kamaz trucks, a grader, a loader, a tractor, a multifunctional excavator bought for verdurization, improvement and collection of wastes were handed over to the respective executive bodies of the district.
