New residential block launched in Salyan at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation
The new residential block constructed in the Town of Salyan at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was launched on 30 December.
The total built-up area of the block is 8 hectares. It includes 6 4-room, 29 3-room, 131 double room and 1 single room houses designed for the Garabagh war veterans, disabled persons, families with low income and many children. The 5-km roads within the block, which has 8 streets, have been asphalted. 3755-m gas pipe, 2000-m drinking water pipe, 49 modern lighting poles have been set in the block that has fully been supplied with natural gas and electricity. Installation of meters is over. 12000 trees and bushes have been planted within 5600sq.m.
In the opening ceremony, Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov gave the participants best wishes from Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP.
He pointed out President Ilham Aliyev-pursued successful policy aims at improving social conditions of Azerbaijan`s population and developing socioeconomic situation in the regions. Taking close participation in realization of this policy, Heydar Aliyev Foundation takes significant measures in Azerbaijan towards restoration and construction of children homes, boarding schools, medical and educational centers, providing house to disabled, low-income and newly married families. The settlement was built on the basis of one of the Foundation`s social projects as a present on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and New Year.
The Executive Director said Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which implements large projects in 66 points outside Azerbaijan, has become an important organization among world`s NGOs.
Then, attendees were familiarized with conditions at houses.
Resident Javanshir Guliyev presented his keepsake for Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.
The Executive Director presented an order and keys to Maya Gozalova, the resident of the block, member of the Garabagh war veteran’s family.
The residents thanked President Ilham Aliyev and the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the care and attention.
5 buildings each seating 200 people and designed for different events are under construction in Salyan on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
