Event ‘From Integration To Isolation’ was held by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UNICEF

Event ‘From Integration To Isolation’ was held at the Park Bulvar Entertainment and Trade Center by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UNICEF, 11 November. 

The action was organized within the framework of the Abilities Are Limitless campaign held by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which keeps close contacts with children’s homes and boarding schools.

During the event, over 50 children from Children’s Home No 2 in Baku, Mushfig Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children, Organization for Children with Down Syndrome Dejeller, Boarding School for Blind and Partially Deaf Children had a good time at Happyland Entertainment Center.

The aim of the campaign is to draw attention of the broad community to problems of children with disabilities through special events, social ads and other communicative materials on TV.

Over 60,000 children with different disabilities are registered in Azerbaijan. Of them only 6,000 attend special schools and 11,000 receive education at home. The Azerbaijani parliament ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2009.
