A Protocol of Cooperation was signed between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and UNESCO

Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, met on April 27 with Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz bin Othman al-Tuveyjri.

Greeting the head of ISESCO – Islamic Countries Education, Science and Culture Organization, an influential international cultural-humanitarian organization bringing together 51 Muslim states, Mrs Aliyeva expressed pleasure of seeing him again in Azerbaijan. Congratulating the director general on being awarded the Shohret Order, high prize of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva expressed her pride of growing prestige of ISESCO in which she is goodwill ambassador, large-scale works it implements in Islamic world.      

Thanking for warm welcome and sincere words Director General of ISESCO expressed his deep impression of meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, noted the Organization he leads attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan, expressed pleasure of expansion of ties with Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Highly valuing the projects the Foundation realizes in field of science, education, culture and other spheres Abdulaziz bin Othman al-Tuveyjri he noted as first woman Goodwill Ambassador of ISESCO Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva shows personal sample in implementation of this honorable mission. 

Then, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and Abdulaziz bin Othman al-Tuveyjri signed Cooperation Protocol between Heydar Aliyev Foundation and ISESCO.

The Protocol, regulating major principles of cooperation for 5 years, envisages development of ties in field of science, education and culture, development and realization of joint projects, coordination of actions.
