MOU envisaging union of efforts towards development for children in Azerbaijan was signed on January 25 between Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Save the Children.
The Memorandum was signed by executive director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov and representative of Save the Children to Azerbaijan Jeff Giacomini.
Getting familiarized with history and action of the Foundation guests were informed Heydar Aliyev Foundation, established in May 2004, is the most popular NGO in Azerbaijan. Created in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev the Foundation implements essential projects in culture, education, social life, health and ecology.
Guests were in detail informed of the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity. They were familiarized with numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, books on the national leader, presents made by world-famous figures of politics.
Interviewed by journalists after the ceremony of signing Mr Giacomini said the Organization, which has been operating in Azerbaijan 15 years, aims meeting needs of children living in need and from refugee and IDP families in field of social life, health and education. Noting the Organization cooperates for this goal with Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the first time Jeff Giacomini expressed confidence that progress will be reached in this field due to joint efforts.

MOU signed with Heydar Aliyev Foundation provides for joint action towards protection of children by physical and psychosocial support, rendering them necessary care, assurance of their education, health and high quality nutrition.
