Cleaning action has been held on Buzovna beach

Following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, another cleaning action has been held by “Clean City” OJSC within the “International Khazar Week”.

“Clean City” OJSC has been traditionally holding 2 cleaning actions a year, before and after the beach season.

Within the action being held under the slogan of “For Cleanness!”, the Buzovna beach has been cleaned off various types of litter.

Objective of the action is to draw the public’s attention to the issue of beaches’ becoming littered and to mitigate damage caused to the environment as much as possible.

Having joined the subbotnik, some 150 volunteers have cleared the beach from plastic cans, paper, cardboard and other domestic wastes.

Waste accumulated as a result of cleaning the Buzovna beach has been delivered to Balakhany Waste Processing Plant.
