Cycle travelling tour has been held to draw the youth’s attention to waste handling

Following the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, “Clean City” OJSC organized a cycle travelling tour among the youth at Qala State History and Ethnography Reserve, October 13.

Some 50 young people have participated in a cycle travelling tour consisting of two phases. Cyclists departed from Qala State History and Ethnography Reserve and proceeded on the settlement’s territory along the predefined route.

After the cycle travelling tour, a promenade was arranged for the participants in the open air, and they were provided a training on healthy nutrition in field. Discussions were held, during the promenade, with regard to keeping the environment clean and handling wastes. Then the young people cleaned the territory off litter.

The action is aimed to once more draw the youth’s attention to handling of wastes, to advocate a healthy lifestyle, call on people to mitigate as much as possible the danger being caused to the environment and, at the same time, cause the development of both ecological and picnic culture in youth.

The cycle travelling tour was held following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative, within the project “Clean Qala” being implemented by “Clean City” OJSC.
