Israeli President Shimon Peres visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

June 28, Israeli President Shimon Peres visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The Israeli President was welcomed here by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Member of Milli Majlis Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.

President Ilham Aliyev briefed his Israeli counterpart on the aims of the Foundation established in memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan, and items from the national leader`s personal archive and reflecting separate eras of his activity.

The Israeli President was familiarized with numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of the genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented by world-famous figures of politics, books on the national leader, views said by world-famous figures of science, culture and art on the founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, saw photos taken in meetings with leaders of various countries.

President Shimon Peres signed the guest book. The Israeli President was given a keepsake.

The presidents and Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva watched a documentary on activities of the Foundation.

The distinguished guest left the Foundation under rich impressions.
