Participants of International Ibn Arabi Symposium visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation
October 10, participants of International Ibn Arabi Symposium ‘East and West: Common Moral Values, Scientific-Cultural Relations’, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of professor Aida Imanguliyeva, the prominent scholar of XX century in oriental studies, pedagogue, doctor of philology, visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Warmly meeting the visitors Executive Director Anar Elekberov informed them of objectives and actions of the Foundation established in memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
They first viewed manuscripts of works ‘On external and internal sciences’, ‘Lifting the cover’ and printed version of manuscript of ‘On the secret of letters’ written by outstanding poet and philosopher Ibn Arabi’s 350 years ago, which are kept at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli.
Guests were familiarized with photographs taken from the archive of the great leader and reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, honor diplomas of educational institutions the national leader graduated from, certificates of national security bodies he worked for, pictures reflecting construction works implemented in Azerbaijan under his leadership in soviet and independence eras and other exhibits. They were informed of years the genius person spent in Baku, Nakhchyvan, Moscow, successes achieved, projects performed in different spheres in the country under his ruling.
It was noted the main goal of the Foundation is to study and propagate the rich legacy of prominent political figure Heydar Aliyev, give a comprehensive idea to foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socioeconomic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. The Foundation also performs large-scale projects, makes contribution to realization of the national leader’s dreams.
Visitors saw photographs of Heydar Aliyev taken in meetings with world-famous political leaders and heads of state, stands talking about his care to culture and science, a corner reflecting the respect in memory of the great leader in various countries.
