Delegation of managers of State Oil Company and Azerbaijan International Operating Company visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Delegation of managers of State Oil Company and Azerbaijan International Operating Company visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on September 19.

Visitors were informed of objectives and action of the Foundation established in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

Visiting the Foundation on the eve of their professional holiday the oil workers viewed the exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader and reflecting separate eras of his activity.

Informed of the national leader’s oil strategy guests saw exhibits reflecting this strategy, model of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline, which is the fruit of the great leader’s intellect and named after him. They were told this project had huge impact on the geopolitical situation in the region and whole Europe.

‘Contract of Century’, developed under the national leader’s leadership and highly assessed in the international arena, laid the base of the new era in improvement of welfare of Azeri nation. Just after this contract, interest by world states in Azerbaijani economy increased, international relations of the country intensively enhanced. In the first years of implementation of the oil strategy Baku-Novorossiysk and Baku-Supsa oil pipelines were reconstructed, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main oil export pipeline named after Heydar Aliyev and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas export pipeline were built and launched to assure safe and large-scale export of oil and gas.

Golden medal made on the 15th anniversary of ‘Contract of Century’ was presented to Heydar Aliyev Foundation on behalf of delegation of managers of SOCAR and AIOC.
