President of International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation on February 6.

The distinguished guest was informed of establishment and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. It was noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. The Foundation also performs projects in field of education, science, culture and health, makes contribution to realization of the national leader’s dreams.

President of IOC and persons accompanying him were familiarized with rich exposition of the Foundation. They with great interest viewed exhibits taken from the archive of the great leader reflecting separate eras of his activity, numerous documents reflecting the very various moments of the genius person’s life and creating a detailed idea of the entire history of Azerbaijan, books on the national leader, his photos taken with leaders of different countries, world-famous figures of politics, science, culture and art. Visitors were impressed by the great leader’s certificate and diploma confirming his graduation from secondary and higher schools with excellent marks only, honor certificate on excellent education and exemplary conduct, references characterized with only positive features in bodies he worked, photos taken in the events held in various points of former USSR, cities and districts of Azerbaijan, things in his workroom.  

Jacques Rogge signed the guest book.

He was presented a book talking of the Foundation’s action and a souvenir.
