President of Foundation "Ukraine" Leonid Kuchma visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met on 14 February with visiting Baku President of the Foundation "Ukraine" Leonid Kuchma at the Presidential Palace.

Following the meeting President Ilham Aliyev and Leonid Kuchma visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Mr. Kuchma and his spouse were informed about objectives and activities of the Foundation established in memory of national leader of Azeri people.

Ukrainian visitors were familiarized with the photographs, exhibits - from Heydar Aliyev`s personal archive - reflecting various periods of the great leader`s life and activities, as well books on prominent son of our people. Personal belongings of the genius leader and precious exhibits left deep impression on the guests.

Afterwards, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Foundation "Ukraine" Leonid Kuchma and his spouse had their picture taken as a keepsake.

Leonid Kuchma then wrote the following words into the guestbook: `I bow to the memory of this genial man, the big friend of Ukraine. I have always been proud of being regarded by him as a friend. Today, his noble deeds are being continued in the wonderful country, Azerbaijan`.

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva presented a keepsake gift to Leonid Kuchma.
