Russian President Vladimir Putin visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

After the news conference, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Vladimir Putin of Russia have visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, 22 February.

President of the Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and MP Mehriban Aliyeva sincerely greeted the head of the Russian state.

President of Russia was informed on the goals of the Foundation, established in memory of the national leader of Azeri people, its activities. It was mentioned the major targets of the Foundation is to study and propagate the rich heritage of President Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in the future generations and visitors about his wide-scale activity directed to socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support implementation of international projects author of which is the genius person, assist the works carried out in field of wide propaganda of culture and history of Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev spoke of the separate periods of Heydar Aliyev`s lifetime and the exhibits taken from the archive of nationwide leader of Azerbaijan.

Russian President was familiarized with numerous photos reflecting the very different moments of life of the phenomenal person Heydar Aliyev and creating a wide idea of an entire era of Azerbaijani history, gifts presented by the famous political figures of the world, books on the great leader, paid special attention to his pictures taken during his activity at the state security agencies, top positions in Moscow, his family album. Validmir Putin had acquaintance with views said by the prominent figures of politics, science, culture and art al over the world on the constructor of state of Azerbaijan, saw with great interest the photographs taken along with the national leader in different events, as well his pictures with leaders of European and Asian countries.

Head of the Russian state left records in the Book of Memory:

`I was familiarized with big interest with the functioning of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Apart from perpetuating the memory of the outstanding son of Azeri people the Foundation continues his mission in one of the important directions, helps the people in very different humanitarian spheres - education, healthcare and etc.
