Heads of state and government of the ECO member countries visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Heads of the delegations visiting Azerbaijan for participation in 9th Summit of the heads of state and government of the countries-members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation, together with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev have visited Heydar Aliyev Foundation, May 5.

Honored guests have been informed on the goals of the Foundation created as a token of respect for memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan. It has been noted, that the basic purposes of Foundation consist in studying and propagation of rich heritage of outstanding politician, the founder of the independent Azerbaijan state Heydar Aliyev, creation in the future generations of evident representation about his large-scale activity directed on socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev has told to honored guests about the exhibits taken from personal archive of the national leader and covering separate periods of his activity, has answered their interesting questions.

The visitors have familiarized with the numerous photos reflecting the most various moments of life of the phenomenal person - Heydar Aliyev and creating wide representation about the whole period of the history of Azerbaijan, with the gifts presented by known politicians of the world, books about the great leader. They also have read through statements of authoritative politicians, scientists, men of culture and art of the world about the founder of the Azerbaijan state, with greater interest have looked pictures on which they are embodied at various meetings with the national leader of Azerbaijan. It has been especially underlined, that, being one of heads of the Soviet Union, Heydar Aliyev maintained kind relations with heads of the Islamic republics of USSR, eastern countries.

Having signed the Remembrance Book of Foundation, the esteemed guests expressed personal respect and honor to the outstanding politician.
