President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visits Heydar Aliyev Foundation

President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili visited the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, March 6.

Mikheil Saakashvili was welcomed here by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Informed about the goals and activities of the Foundation established in the memory of the Azerbaijani people`s national leader, the distinguished guest was told the Foundation studies and popularizes the national leader`s heritage, implements socioeconomic and humanitarian projects to support Azerbaijan`s progress, development of culture and study of history.

M.Saakashvili viewed pictures and exhibits taken from the archive of Heydar Aliyev and embracing the very different aspects of his activities, was informed of the national leader’s leadership, which has gone down in the history of Azerbaijan as one of the most glorious pages, as well socioeconomic development, huge achievements of the country recognized by the international community.

The visitor saw exhibits covering the very different aspects of his life and giving a comprehensive idea of the whole history of Azerbaijan, gifts presented by world-known politicians, books dedicated to the national leader, visions said by eminent figures of science, culture and art on the founder of the state of Azerbaijan, also his photographs with leaders of different countries.

Mikheil Saakashvili signed the Foundation`s guest book. He was presented with a keepsake.
