Leyla Aliyeva, head of Russia office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, attends ceremony in Moscow on 28 May-Republic Day

Ceremony was organized in Moscow by Azeri Embassy to Russia on 28 May-Republic Day.


Leyla Aliyeva, Head of Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Alexander Yakovenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, members of Russian Federal Assembly and State Duma, public-political figures and foreign ambassadors attended the ceremony.


Addressing the event Azeri Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu said based on historical friendship and firm neighborhood of our nations Russia-Azerbaijan relations intensively develop. Noting huge importance of these relations in history of independence of our country he mentioned these ties are based on mutual understanding and trust. The Ambassador stressed special role of presidents of both countries, saying cooperation started by national leader Heydar Aliyev and Vladimir Putin is continued by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Dmitri Medvedev.


Congratulating the nation of Azerbaijan on the holiday Alexander Yakovenko said Russia is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in all fields and attaches huge value to these relations. He expressed hope for development of bilateral relations. 


The event ended with concert by Russian and Azeri singers.
