Conference on Azerbaijan held at Romanian-American university in Bucharest under initiative and support of Romania Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Conference on Azerbaijan was held at Romanian-American University in Bucharest under initiative and support of the University management, Bucharest Association of Writers, Azerbaijan Embassy to Romania and Romania Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, December 13.


Chairman of Bucharest Association of Writers, Dr. Horia Girbea shared in the conference impressions of Azerbaijan, presented his photo exhibition dedicated to Azerbaijan. He talked about painful consequences of Armenia’s aggression to Azerbaijan, stressing atrocities committed by Armenian armed forces during Khojaly genocide, one of the bloodiest pages in XX century.

 

The writer provided detailed information on the 20 January incidents, genocide of Azerbaijanis and Guba mass graveyard. Dr. Girbea said Armenia is not the first country declaring Christianity an official religion and this fact is confirmed by Christian monuments of earlier times discovered in Azerbaijan. 

 

Rector of Romanian-American University, Dr. Ovidiu Folcut, Chairman of Bucharest Association of Writers, Dr. Horia Girbea, Head of Romania Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation I.Hajiyev and Humanitarian Attaché of the Embassy F.Kerimli replied questions from attendees on Azerbaijan, Armenian aggression to Azerbaijan, causes for Daghlig Garabagh conflict and position of the state of Azerbaijan on resolution of the problem.
