An Azerbaijani pavilion was presented in the framework of the traditional Royal Windsor Horse Show at the Windsor castle of the Great Britain.
The horse show has been traditionally organized in the park of the Windsor Palace since 1943. Azerbaijan was presented at the event by the Equestrian Federation, and from May 10 to May 15, performances of Karabakh horses and national dance groups took place.
This year, an Azerbaijani pavilion was created within the framework of the event, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. History, culture, rich tourism capacity of Azerbaijan, souvenirs belonging to various local brands and samples of local production were presented at the pavilion.
Pictures of the Karabakh horse, which had a central place at the pavilion, a photo-exhibition picturing historical Chovkan competitions, and the sample of sculpture “Chelebi”, authored by Mushfiq Heydarov, were viewed with much interest. Music instruments representing the mugham trio, a pearl of the Azerbaijani music, historical copper and earthen ware, national garments and carpets were in the centre of attention of visitors. Various publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were presented at the pavilion.
