The Room of Azerbaijan at the Geneva Office of the United Nations was established in 2007.

With a view to ensuring that the room met up-to-date technological standards, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has developed a new design in cooperation with foreign designers, and repair and restoration works were carried out in the room in 2022. Appropriate facilities were created here to hold various conferences and meetings, providing the room with up-to-date software and high technological equipment.

National elements, including a Karabakh carpet, a sample of lattice (shebeke), the mugham trio – tar, kamancha and gaval, as well as photos picturing Azerbaijan’s nature and architecture were used while designing the Room of Azerbaijan.
