The secondary school in Kovar village of Yevlakh district has been reconstructed within the project “A new school to new Azerbaijan” of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. On 16 September 2013, the school was commissioned.
Total area of the 3-floor school building is 3,624.23 m2, while the construction area covers 1597,16 m2. The water, sewage, heating, electricity and air conditioning systems at the school have been rebuilt, a fire alarm system installed and fire posts replaced with new ones. A library, three working education rooms (metal processing, wood processing, profession of a tailor and culinary), weapons and military training rooms, a computer room, an assembly hall, laboratories, a sport hall and a canteen have been created at the school and all rooms provided with up-to-the-date equipment.
Existing two 100 m3 underground water basins and the pump house have been repaired in order to provide the school with drinking water and water for fire protection purposes.
A sports ground has been built, improvement works done and greenery planted on the territory, and the school’s fence was built anew.
