The Mahsati Ganjavi Centre was built with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. On January 21, 2014, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the centre.
The centre accommodates an art gallery devoted to the poetess’s creativity, a reading room for researchers, a music studio, a music notes library, and mugham, piano sections and other auxiliary rooms.
The reading room has been provided with books about the life and creativity of Mahsati Ganjavi, her literary legacy, rubáiyáts of the poetess in Azerbaijani, Russian and English in an electronic format, along with publications of Azerbaijan’s eminent poets and thinkers, and about Azerbaijani music and carpet-making.
Photos from the exhibitions and concerts held in connection with the 900th jubilee of Mahsati Ganjaviwith the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundationin the cities of Reims and Melouse of France in November and December last year, as well as national music instruments are exhibited at the centre.
In a national garments exhibition of the Centre, national garments related to the Mahsati time, in particular, those of ladies of the Renaissance Period are exhibited, and in an art gallery, various displays devoted to Mahsati Ganjavi image and her rubáiyáts, as well as samples of art and monumental works are presented.A monument to the poetess has been erected in the Mahsati room. Miniatures and art works are presented hereusing a projector.
A park has been laid out around the centre.
