A concert programme within the framework of the Azerbaijani “National Day” at “Milan Expo 2015”

On June 9, a concert of Azerbaijani masters of art took place at the Azerbaijani pavilion at “Milan Expo 2015” World Exhibition within the framework of the “National Day” held with organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. 

 

At a concert programme held in the Auditorium hall on the territory of Milan Expo with participation of the Gara Garayev State Chamber Orchestra, People’s artists Azer Zeynalov, Samir Jafarov, Honoured artists Afaq Abbasova, Nigar Shabanova, and young violinist Elvin Ganiyev performed. 

 

The concert programme continued before the Azerbaijani national pavilion, with presentation of national rhythms performed by “Natig” Rhythms Group. Here took place performance of the State Dance Ensemble headed by artistic director, People’s Artist Afag Malikova, and performances by our wrestlers Haldun Loghmanov and Seyhun Loghmanov. Here, also presentation of our mugham, performed by singers Arzu Aliyeva and Ilkin Ahmadov took place. Guests were presented delicious dishes of the Azerbaijan’s national cuisine. 

 

On the monitors installed in the “IDEA-Biodiversity Park” at the pavilion, onlookers were shown a video-film about Azerbaijan and the Baku-2015 first European Games hosted recently by our country. 

 

In a programme devoted to the presentation of Azerbaijan’s culture at the national pavilion, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Alakbarov, representatives of other countries being represented at Milan Expo 2015, and Italy’s public figures took part.
