Meeting with China’s deputy minister for foreign affairs Le Yucheng

In the framework of her visit to the People’s Republic of China, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva met with the country’s deputy minister for foreign affairs Le Yucheng.

 

Le Yucheng, underscoring that relations between the two countries were advancing successfully in all areas, said he would continue his endeavours towards deepening the China-Azerbaijan cooperation further. Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s being a country distinguished for its cultural heritage, he noted that various events were held recent years in China in connection with the Azerbaijani culture. It was mentioned that such events make great contribution to deepening the friendly relations between the two peoples.

 

The deputy minister delightfully noted Azerbaijan’s active participation in the conference “Asian civilizations’ dialogue” and the events held in the framework of the conference.

 

Leyla Aliyeva underscored that deepening of the cooperation between our countries in various fields has caused the friendly relations, of which foundations had been laid back in the time of the historical Silk Way, to advance further.

 

Recalling the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, by the invitation of Chairperson of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, in the 2nd “One belt, one way” International Cooperation Forum, Leyla Aliyeva brought to attention that Azerbaijan, along with being one of the first countries to have supported this initiative of China, has been trying to deepen the cooperation in economic, humanitarian and cultural fields in the framework of this project.

 

Leyla Aliyeva noted that the Azerbaijani people have been showing great interest towards China, its language and traditional medicine, saying that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was interested in deepening the cooperation with China in these directions.
