National leader Heydar Aliyev honored in Moscow

Memorial ceremony of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev was held at Azeri Embassy to Russia.

 

Officials of Executive Office of President of Russian Federation, government, MPs, employees of Russian Foreign Ministry, figures of science, health and culture, ambassadors of CIS countries and Turkey, reps of Azeri diaspora were present at the ceremony to honor prominent political figure, architect of independent Azerbaijan.

 

Memorial ceremony started with show of documentary on Heydar Aliyev.

 

Opening the ceremony Azeri Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu gave information on life and activity of outstanding political figure who devoted all his life to formation of independent state of Azerbaijan. He talked in particular of major aspects of political action of Heydar Aliyev covering entire modern history of Azerbaijan. P.Bulbuloglu, emphasizing role of the national leader in formation of Azerbaijani statehood, said in early 1990s due to his great influence and inborn talent Heydar Aliyev prevented separation of country, created base to future generations and became real leader of his people. The Ambassador underlined the role of the great leader in protection and strengthening of Russia-Azerbaijan ties that are dynamically developing. He noted this line of activity is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

 

Member of Federation Board of Federal Assembly of Russia Alexander Dzasokhov, deputy chairman of Federation Board Svetlana Orlova, chairman of Interstate Eurasia Committee of CIS and Baltic Countries Tatyana Anodina, chairman of Central Election Commission of Russia Vladimir Churov and others shared recollections on famous political figure and wonderful person. They said Heydar Aliyev is the wealth not only of Azeri people but also Russians.

 

Head of Russia Office of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leila Aliyeva, aide to Russian President Jahan Polliyeva, chairman of CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev, writer Rudolph Ivanov and others were present in the event.
