Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva participated in the sitting of the Central Council of All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress

Regular sitting of the Central Council of All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress (ARAC) was held, February 5th, at Moscow’s President Hotel. Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, head of the Foundation’s Russian Office Leyla Aliyeva participated in the sitting.

Before the event, a meeting with the members of ARAC Board – Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloghlu, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Council General of Azerbaijan in Saint Petersburg Gudsi Imanov, First Deputy Director of ITAR-TASS Agency Mikhail Gusman and members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Russia - was held. A series of essential matters were discussed in the meeting. Then, in a meeting with full delegation, academician Mammad Aliyev greeted representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora.

Anthems of Azerbaijan and Russia were sounded and a film reflecting ARAC’s activity in 2012 was demonstrated.

At the end, ARAC’s actions plan for 2013 was discussed. It was noted that organisation of comprehensive actions on the occasion of the 90^th anniversary of Azerbaijani people’s national leader Heydar Aliyev was among the priority tasks.

After speeches, Mammad Aliyev concluded the sitting and, in general, assessed the organization’s activity as positive.
