Resource center launched at the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan as part of IDEA Environmental Campaign
Opening ceremony of the resource center at the Public Administration Academy under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held as part of IDEA Environmental Campaign, which was initiated by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leyla Aliyeva, May 19.
The event was attended by initiator of IDEA Environmental Campaign, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leyla Aliyeva, state and government officials, the Academy’s administration and students.
Mrs Leyla Aliyeva cut a ribbon symbolizing official opening of the center.
Mrs Leyla Aliyeva was told that high technologies, necessary electronic and scientific supplies are available here. The center will provide additional opportunities for studies and getting knowledge about the future of the planet.
The center will particularly contribute to the fruitful organization of leisure of the youth, identification of new directions of activity, their preparation for the future professional life with more different thinking. From childhood people should learn environmental knowledge, define rules of conduct for themselves. The center also aims to attract youth to environment-related researches, organize trainings, meetings and implement environmental education projects. Our planet has limited resources and we must to search for the optimal ways of their use and make contribution to the assurance of the world community’s awareness on this issue.
IDEA Campaign has become global. Environment has no frontier. Any step taken within the national frontiers targets the future of the mankind. The Campaign follows a “sustainable development” conception and underscores the need for ensuring harmony between development and environment. The current development features of human beings should not harm the opportunities of the future generations to meet their needs.
Closely inspecting the circumstances at the center, Mrs Leyla Aliyeva wished every success to the Academy`s staff.
