Turkish newspaper Hurriyyet posted an interview by Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva

The 26 February issue of Turkish newspaper Hurriyyet posted an interview by Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leila Aliyeva.

The newspaper writes to assure international awareness of Khojaly genocide L.Aliyeva backed the project as part of the 'Justice for Khojaly' campaign, which envisages the making of video 'Justice for Khojaly' performed by Deyirman, the Azerbaijani rap band, and Tony Blackman, the Goodwill Ambassador of the US State Department.

In the interview, Leila Aliyeva says: ‘Everyone wanting 'Justice for Khojaly' would have listened to the voice of the humanity. After the massacre in Khojaly the world community has not created any exact and working mechanism. Unfortunately, there are still double standards on this tragedy. Thinking ‘the world would soon forget about it’, Armenians killed 613 persons, including 106 women, 63 children in one night. 8 families were completely massacred. Today we have the state we can rely on. To provide information on this crime to the whole world we launched the 'Justice for Khojaly' campaign in 2009. We express gratitude to the brotherly Republic and nation of Turkey for the support to us.

Events are organized in 30 countries within the campaign. Washington, Ankara, Brussels, Jakarta, Ottawa, Berlin, Abu Dhabi, Paris and Sao Paulo are some of the cities covered by the campaign’.
