Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the price “For services to the Astrakhan region”

A ceremony of awarding Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva the price “For services to the Astrakhan region” was held at the State Philharmonic of Astrakhan, September 12.

 

At the ceremony, Governor of the Astrakhan Region Alexander Jilkin noted that the Caspian Sea connects people of Astrakhan and Azerbaijan, and our goal is to protect the environment covering all of us. 


The Governor said: “Historically, people of Astrakhan have always treated the people of Azerbaijan with respect. Therefore, the dynamics of development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan now is heart-warming. Today’s events, opening of the Friendship Bridge, children’s park, laying the foundation of a monument to saint Prince Vladimir attest to this.”.

 

He thanked President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the State of Azerbaijan and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on behalf of people of Astrakhan for projects implemented in Astrakhan and endeavours aimed at strengthening the relations between the two countries.

 

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva thanked for the high price and said: “Astrakhan is a nice city, but people living here pleasing me the most. Because it is impossible not to feel your warmth. We will have more projects in future”.

 

The presentation of the price was followed by a concert program with participation of Russian and Azerbaijani persons of art. Then People’s artist of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbuloglu performed on then scene. His performance was greeted with thunderous applauses.
