Mehriban Aliyeva met with Queen of Jordan Rania
First ladies of Azerbaijan and Jordan met on May 6. Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva expressed pleasure of seeing Queen Rania in Baku.
First Lady of Azerbaijan informed of objectives of the Foundation established in memory of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. She noted main goals of the Foundation is to study and propagate rich political legacy of famous political figure Heydar Aliyev, create an obvious idea in foreign visitors and future generations on his large-scale activity towards socio-economic and cultural progress of Azerbaijan, support international projects started by the genius person, help the works implemented in field of wide propaganda of Azeri culture and history. In addition, the Foundation performs large-scale projects in field of education, health care, culture and other sectors. Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva talked of works done in field of reconstruction of children homes and boarding schools and improvement of their logistics, rendering multilateral care to children deprived of parental care, help to people suffering from thalassemia and diabetes, construction of new schools, teaching the disabled children to work with information technologies, study and popularization of the rich domestic culture, mentioned the Thalassemia Center is under construction.
