Mehriban Aliyeva met with Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Tadahiro Abe

Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, met on June 8 with Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Tadahiro Abe.

 

Sincerely greeting the Ambassador and his spouse Mrs Aliyeva informed of history, objectives and actions of the Foundation she heads. She noted within the project of the Foundation operating since 2004 180 modern schools were built, supplied with required appliances and commissioned in all regions of the republic, including remotest villages. More 50 are under construction. The Foundation has also implemented some projects in field of health, science and culture, application of IT, firmly cooperates with international organizations.

 

Presenting the newly published book on actions of the Foundation to the Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva said the book widely covers the Foundation’s activities.

 

Ambassador Tadahiro Abe mentioned cooperation between Japan and Azerbaijan are successfully developed in different fields, stressing he will help by all means the continuation of this honorable mission. He highly assessed valuable actions of Mrs Aliyeva inside the country and in international organizations, expressed interest of some public organizations of Japan in cooperation with the Foundation. 

 

Fruitful exchange of views was held in the meeting on some other issues of mutual concern.
