Mehriban Aliyeva met with well-known Turkish actress Turkan Shoray

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with well-known Turkish actress Turkan Shoray, who was on a visit to our country.

First Turkan Shoray watched a film about the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s activity. The film talks of the projects implemented by the Foundation in the spheres of education and healthcare, and aimed at development of our culture and preservation of the cultural heritage.

Then Mehriban Aliyeva met with well-known actress Turkan Shoray.

Greeting the well-known Turkish actress, the First Lady of Azerbaijan said she was pleased to see her at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation noted that Turkan Shoray enjoyed great love and respect of the Azerbaijani people, and called her “a living legend”. Mehriban Aliyeva expressed her pleasure of being acquainted with Turkan Shoray, a world-renown actress.

Saying “I had long while ago wished to come to Azerbaijan”, Turkan Shoray noted that she felt happy about this wish become true. Recalling her previous visit to Azerbaijan long years ago, the actress presented her newly published book about the art of movie to the First Lady.
