Mehriban Aliyeva visits Lulia Hasdeu National College in Bucharest
Azerbaijan`s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva visited Lulia Hasdeu National College in Bucharest, September 28.
Mehriban Aliyeva was warmly welcomed by the College staff, officials of Romanian Ministry of Education and Mayor`s Office of Bucharest Second Sector.
Schoolgirls gave her flowers and sang national anthems of Azerbaijan and Romania.
Mehriban Aliyeva had her picture taken together with the pupils.
She was familiarized with the computer room set up due to support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Representation in Romania, which presented 30 computers and a projector to the College. The computer room is equipped with visual aids on Azerbaijan. All computers have Internet access.
Congratulating the staff of the College on opening of the computer room the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation talked about projects of her organization in Azerbaijan and abroad in different fields, including education. Mehriban Aliyeva said the Foundation supported construction of more than 300 school buildings in her country. Computer room created at Lulia Hasdeu National College is the next sign of international action of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Saying this is not the last project Heydar Aliyev Foundation implements in field of education in Romania she noted the Foundation will organize a visit of Romanian schoolchildren, including those of the Lulia Hasdeu National College to Azerbaijan to become familiar with the country`s culture. According to her, Azerbaijani schoolchildren will pay visit to Romania, too.
Mehriban Aliyeva was presented a gift on behalf of the collective of the College.
Rector of the College and official of the Ministry of Education thanked Mehriban Aliyeva for the support and praised activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s Representation in Romania. Just due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Lulia Hasdeu National College has up-to-date computer room in Bucharest.
They expressed hope the Foundation will continue its support to projects in field of education in Romania.
The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation thanked for hospitality, expressing satisfaction with her visit to Romania again. She said bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and nations will further develop.
Expressing gratitude to Mrs Aliyeva schoolchildren said the computer room created due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation will help them achieve new successes in education.
The staff warmly saw off Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva.
