President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized with Salyan City General Education Boarding School named after Azer Safarov

On August 10 President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, came to Salyan City General Education Boarding School named after Azer Safarov, martyr for territorial integrity of country, protection of lands.

The President and First Lady were presented flowers.

President Aliyev was informed 416 pupils get education at this 9-year boarding school repaired by Heydar Aliyev Foundation, as well 105 orphans live here where every kind of conditions has been provided for their training and education. New schools, sport halls are under construction in Salyan district on the initiative of the Foundation.

The President and his spouse viewed classrooms, computer rooms. They were informed application of modern information appliances have very positive impact. In general, schoolchildren from Salyan district gain high results in republican and international Olympiads.

Visiting bedrooms and reading room of the pupils the President of Azerbaijan was pleased of circumstance here. The President said construction of new schools in Salyan by initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation will be continued.
