Mehriban Aliyeva visited a series of schools in Azizbeyov district
President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva visited on September 14 Azizbeyov district.
Attending the opening ceremony of school 122 in Zira settlement Mehriban Aliyeva, where she was warmly welcomed, congratulated residents on opening of the new school, as well the schoolchildren on start of new school year, wished them to willingly possess science.
Chief of Baku City Main Education Office Naila Rzaguliyeva said children getting primary education here were obliged to continue their education at other school in Pirallahy settlement. Now this problem was settled and trouble of children ended. The school was supplied with appliances and computers.
Opening of the additional building built in frame of `New school to new Azerbaijan` program of the Foundation for secondary school 183 in Mardakan settlement was a remarkable event. Due to realization of this initiative advanced in election campaign meetings of Mrs Aliyeva the building was built in short time with 12 classrooms, subject cabinets, computer rooms, equipped with new appliances. Manager of the school Billura Elekberova informed the school built in 1936 was in bad state because no repair has been realized so far, there was no circumstance to have normal classes. 2-turn education will be removed in the school attended by 900 pupils. There is every condition for teachers and pupils in both Russian and Azeri sectors, there is no problem concerning supply with manuals and literature.
Mrs Aliyeva took interest at the computer room in habits of junior pupils of working with computer, made in a few seconds interesting pictures on the computer and said the time demands the children to possess such habits.
Mehriban Aliyeva noted next year the old building of the school will completely be reconstructed.
The President of the Foundation, photographed with teachers and pupils, arrived then in Shuvalan settlement.
Ceremony was held here to lay foundation of the 1100-seat new building for school 156 within the program realized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Chief of Baku City Main Education Office Naila Rzaguliyeva noted decision was made on destruction of the building and construction of the new one in its place considering opinion of experts and proposal of Mrs Aliyeva. Every condition has been provided for all teaching staff and pupils of school 156 to continue their activity at the neighboring school 237 in second turn. The new building is to be built by next September. The 3-floor and 3-building new school will have library, computer rooms, subject cabinets, sport complex meeting the modern standards.
After getting acquaintance with project, Mehriban Aliyeva threw the cylinder, indicating to the laying of the cornerstone of the school on September 14, 2006 upon the program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, into the foundation and laid the first concrete.
Secondary school 230 built in Shuvalan settlement is one of the very modern education complexes in the country for richness of material and technical basis. Residents, teachers and pupils in front of the school named after Fuad Ferhadoglu, 20 January martyr, graduate of the school, were very happy.
The 3-floor school building has wide and light rooms, premium and originally-designed appliances, rich library, labor training shops, Internet rooms with newest computers, conference hall available for realization of the highest-level events. Boards with words `Education is an important sphere of life and activity of every nation, country, society`, `To protect the land and die for the land is big honor for the person` of national leader Heydar Aliyev, martyr fighters memorial corner, photo galleries on honorable life of the great leader, projects implemented by Heydar Aliyev are special interesting.
Director of the school Ilyas Gambarov who devoted 30 years of his 40-year pedagogic activity to this position said the First Lady of Azerbaijan there is every condition for education of 1200 pupils at the school with 41 classrooms. We could not imagine such a school, but due to Your attention and care such a great building was constructed and commissioned, he said.
Mrs Aliyeva was familiarized with the school, indoor football ground with green field, meeting modern standards built in wide area, expressed satisfaction of works done and said: the school with such stadium and sport complex will probably have a worthy team and athletes.
Then, applying to the teachers and pupils, residents gathered in front of the school Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva said:
I am very happy for construction and commissioning of such a school meeting European standards. Pupils at this school must get excellent and good marks only. They and teachers must try to protect this beauty. In every visit I see the settlement is daily changed, roads reconstructed, green fields become many. Last time we opened kindergarten, and did the school now. On the way I saw roofs of a number of buildings are old, they must be renovated, it will be beautiful settlement.
