Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Baku School №268 for the mentally and physically retarded children

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva has visited the Baku School №268 for the mentally and physically retarded children, October 5. On the World Teachers' Day, textbooks in Russian sent by the government of Moscow have been donated to the School.


The visit on holiday by Mehriban Aliyeva, the overhaul rendered in October of the last year to the School, has been perceived with feeling of deep gratitude.


Mehriban Aliyeva was interested in the done repair work, maintenance of equipment for School. She has been informed that in the special computer hall created here, the children for short time have received profound knowledge and skills. It has been underlined, that all this work represent exclusive value for the further life and activity of children with limited opportunities, also was stressed the necessity of application of similar practice and for other schools.


In the March meetings together with the spouses of foreign ambassadors in Azerbaijan initiated by Mehriban Aliyeva it was noted that the problems of this school, in particular, maintenance of textbooks, should be in the center of attention. It has been with satisfaction underlined that the government of Moscow through embassy of the Russian Federation in the country has urgently expressed its attitude to this noble initiative, having sent in Azerbaijan textbooks in Russian.


Having congratulated pedagogical collective with the World teacher's Day, the president of Heydar Aliyev Fund Mehriban Aliyeva expressed confidence that with the help of new textbooks the children will be more actively involved in educational process.


The principal on behalf of collective has expressed Mehriban Aliyeva gratitude for the special help rendered on repair of the educational institution, maintenance with equipment and textbooks, having reminded, that these textbooks are issued outside of the Republic and have been last time brought in the Country in 1988. He has noted the successes achieved for short time in connection with application of the process of integration education at schools for children with the limited opportunities.


Representative of the embassy of Russia in Baku has regarded urgent reaction of the government of Moscow to the reference of the spouse of the President of Azerbaijan on the necessity to pay attention to problems of schools of such type as one more example of links of good will between Azerbaijan and Russia. He informed that such textbooks being a gift of the government of Moscow would be handed also to other schools. The representative of embassy has congratulated the pedagogical public of Azerbaijan on Teachers' Day, having noted, that in a letter of congratulations of President Ilham Aliyev, it is especially emphasized the value of successful realization by teachers of educational mission.


Spouse of the President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has expressed satisfaction in connection with visiting of this school on the significant holiday. Having noted importance of education of the children mentally and physically retarded, and also deprived parental care, she has emphasized, that this question would constantly be in the center of its attention. She informed, that in the program, which prepares within the framework of Heydar Aliyev Fund, special value would be given to the decision of problems of boarding schools. After end of this work in Baku, it will be carried out and in other regions of the Republic. She has expressed gratitude for worthy present of the government of Moscow. Mehriban Aliyeva has noted, that problems of this school, and also children most requiring for care with the limited opportunities would constantly be in the center of her attention.


Representative of the Ministry of Education and teachers, having emphasized value of attraction of children with the limited opportunities to the process of integration teaching, have expressed to Mehriban Aliyeva gratitude for special assistance in this cause.
