Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of reconstructed Secondary School №112 in Pirshaghy Settlement
Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of Secondary School №12 reconstructed within the project “New Schools for a New Azerbaijan” of the Foundation in Pirshaghy settlement of Sabunchu district.
While being acquainted with the school, it was noted that being in operation since 1934, no repair had been done to the school ever since. The conditions at the school, which had fallen into accident-sensitive state, had created very serious problems. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation had shown initiative with regard to construction of a main education building for the school. Commenced in December 2011, the construction works have been carried out at the highest level, complying with all relevant standards. General area of the three-storied building designed for 660 pupils is over 38 thousand square meters. 51 teacher will be engaged in education of pupils here. There are various subject rooms at the school. Painting and drawing room has been set up in order to develop creative ability in children. In addition, military training room has been set up to bring up children in the spirit of patriotism. Given the children’s interest in information and communication technologies, a computer room has been set up at the school and provided with necessary technical equipment. A library created here is drawing attention with its high level.
Bélles-léttres in 200 names and 13 thousand textbooks have been collected at the school. All rooms have been provided with teaching aids, visual aids and equipment. Laboratories for biology, physics and chemistry have been provided with all types of visual aids.
Given the large number of pupils, additional building for 240 pupils had been constructed in 2005 for this education institution, following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. Of course this allowed to partly meet the existing needs. And now, with construction of a new building for the main building, all problems were removed.
Reconstruction works have been done in and around the territory of the school, improvement works done in an area of 3200 sq.m.
President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with the teachers of the school, and congratulated them on the inauguration of the new school.
Mehriban Aliyeva said, having always supported the policy pursued by the State, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is always ready to provide help in works done in the country. Mehriban Aliyeva congratulated the school team on the upcoming Novruz Bayram.
