On December 28, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranged traditional festivity for children on the eve of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year. Organized following the initiative of Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva, the festivity was attended by children from children’s homes, pupils of boarding schools, children and juveniles in need of special care, as well as from martyrs’ families.
First Vice-president of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the festivity.
As it has been always, this time too, children arrived at the place of festivity in specially allocated for them buses. Decorated to taste, placed at children’s disposal, this place has been designed to make children happy, resembling the kingdom of fairy tales.
The festivity started with the show of a video about meetings of national leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva with children, and care and attention shown by them towards the young generation.
As it has been all previous years, this year too, following the tradition, children were presented staged fairy-tale and musical and entertaining programme.
Decorations built in Buta Palace for children based on this programme cheered them up. Joining dances, singing songs, showing their abilities in the gorgeous palace, children’s joy was limitless. The festivity arranged by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and interesting performances of well-known artists, characters of favourite fairy tales and animation films were all meant for them. The joy of the children, the smile on their faces were the highest appreciation of the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which made them experience this pleasant mood.
Like in previous years, children got together around Mehriban Aliyeva, their greatest patroness. Sincerely talking to children, Mehriban Aliyeva shared their joy.
Inhabitants of children’s homes, creative children and juveniles - a staff of up to 500 people, including renowned variety artists of Azerbaijan, were involved in the fairy tale and musical programme.
In the palace, reminiscent of a winter fairy tale, the children were surrounded by favourite characters, enjoying themselves together with them.
Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the festivity.
Thus, the festivity, a part of the multilateral activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, made hundreds of children happy. At the end of the festivity, children were presented holiday gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, including books printed by the Baku Book Centre for children on the eve of the Ney Year.
