First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva attend the inauguration of a new building of the Child Art School in Bulbula settlement

On September 22nd, the new building of Child Art School No.3 named after Gulara Aliyeva in Bulbula settlement, Surakhany district of Baku city, was commissioned for use.

 

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.

 

First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva was informed that the school was established in 1935 under the music association, having operated since 1940 as Child Music School No.5, and Child Art School No.3 as of 1988.

 

It was informed that due to the two-storied school building’s falling into emergency state, a new building was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The new building is three-storied, accommodating 25 classrooms, dance and painting rooms, an assembly hall, a library, a teachers’ room, and a canteen. At the moment, 493 students are studying at the school, on 17 specialties. 110 teachers are involved in teaching of these specialties. At the Child Art School, dance and painting lessons are conducted in groups, while other specialties are taught individually.

 

To date, over 35 students of the school were honoured with names of a laureate of international contests, some 70 holding high places at republican contests. Child Art School No.3 named after Gulara Aliyeva has had a series of renowned graduates.

 

Significant steps are made today towards advancing education and culture in the country, showing special attention towards persons of science and art. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been making significant contribution to this work. Construction of a new building meeting the state-of-the-art standards for Child Art School No.3 named after Gulara Aliyeva, which has bestowed famous persons of art upon our country, is also an obvious example of the care and attention shown by the Foundation to this area.
