Mehriban Aliyeva paid a visit to the “Berlin-Baku-Gallery” exhibition hall in Berlin and the Azerbaijani Embassy in Germany


First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva attended, within her visit to Germany,  the “Berlin-Baku-Gallery” exhibition hall on September 30.


Director of the “Maiden Tower” Art Gallery in Baku Emin Mammadov informed Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva of the activity of the “Baku-Berlin-Gallery” exhibition hall.

 

The First Lady of Azerbaijan met with head of the “Baku-Berlin-Gallery” exhibition hall, well-known artist Ibrahim Ahrari. 

 

She was informed that, functioning since 2007, this gallery is a Berlin branch of the “Maiden Tower” Art Gallery in Baku. So far exhibitions of 62 Azerbaijani and 46 German artists were held here. 43 exhibitions were organized since its opening, and 12 exhibitions during the past period of this year. At present, works by German artist Inga Schmidt and Azerbaijani artist Ali Abdullayev are exhibited at the gallery. This gallery is of much significance also in terms of promoting the Azerbaijani culture.

Then Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva came to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany.

 

Ambassador Parviz Shahbazov informed Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva of the activity of Azerbaijan’s diplomatic representation in Germany. It was noted that all conditions have been created for employees work at the building where the embassy is located.

 

The President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation met here with Azerbaijani Honoured Artist Ashraf Heybatov, who lives in Germany. The artist presented a portrait of the First Lady of Azerbaijan and an album with graphic works titled “Azerbaijan – an Eastern World” to Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva.

First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met at the Embassy with Ph. Eva-Maria Auch, the head of the History of Azerbaijan Department of the German Humboldt University. 

 

Eva-Maria Auch informed Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva about the activity of the department, which was opened in 2010.

 

Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva said she supports the activity of the department teaching the history of Azerbaijan, and whished them every success.
