Mrs Chairperson,

Mrs Director General,

Ladies and gentlemen!

First of all I would like to greet all participants and wish you success in your philanthropic actions.

World Health Organization is the real universal institution working for assurance of the highest level of health for all nations in our planet.

It is great honor to be here and receive this prize of WHO. I express my gratitude to WHO Executive Board and selection board of Family Health Fund of professor Ihsan Doghramajy for awarding this high prize to me.

I believe this prize will further strengthen the efforts I made in my country towards improvement of mother, child and family health. This prize is too important for me because it is named after professor Ihsan Doghramajy whom I deeply respect.

World-famous pediatrician and big philanthropist, professor Ihsan Doghramajy has devoted all his life to the high goals such health and high education of children. It is great honor to me to be awarded by such a great person, one of founders of WHO, having signed its charter, live history of this organization. Unfortunately, professor Doghramajy could not attend this event. On behalf of myself I wish him good health and happiness.

There are a number of opportunities to fundamentally improve lifestyle and health of every person living in rapidly developing Azerbaijan. State Programme for health system modernization in Azerbaijan is successfully performed. Tens of diagnostic and treatment centers have been built in our country for last 2 years only. All they are supplied with the very modern devices. We pay special attention to education of our young doctors. We aim to create the health system meeting highest world standards in the country. I am confident that with current speed we will get our goal in near future.

Cooperation between WHO and Azerbaijan is very fruitful. This organization implements several projects in Azerbaijan in field of medical education, safe vaccination, protection of mother and child health. I believe our cooperation will be more effective in future.

I once again express my gratitude to WHO and Ihsan Doghramajy Family Health Fund for awarding me, accept this high prize as the value set to work of all doctors and medical employees working in Azerbaijan.

I wish you success, good health and happiness. Thank you.
