President Ilham Aliyev inaugurates school named after prominent ophthalmologist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Yasamal district in Baku

On April 28, President Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated the school named after prominent ophthalmologist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Yasamal district in Baku.

Prior to the opening ceremony, the President unveiled a bust of Zarifa Aliyeva.

Then, the school was opened. In the school`s lobby, President Ilham Aliyev viewed photos reflecting different periods of life and activity of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and Academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Education Minister Misir Merdanov informed the President of facilities created at the school, which has been built for short time due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation according to the modern standards. The 840-seat school has been assured with modern educational supplies and computers with Internet access.

President Ilham Aliyev viewed classrooms, laboratories, computer room, gym, library supplied with very modern literature, English cabinet and sports ground.

The school specialized in information sciences, foreign languages and mathematics is available for pupils of IX-XI forms.

The President saw the gym, which has been provided with every condition for physical training of pupils.

President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with a memorial room of Academician Zarifa Aliyeva. The room includes photographs reflecting life and activity of the outstanding scientist. 

The President was also acquainted with the sports ground of the school.
