Educational institutions opened in the knowledge day at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation
On the occasion of the Knowledge Day, educational institutions were opened on September 15 in some settlements of Baku at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, attended opening of the kindergarten named after prominent scientist in ophthalmology, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Narimanov district, Baku.
Children presented flowers to the First Lady.
Mehriban Aliyeva saw photographs showing the previous state of the kindergarten. After cutting the ribbon symbolizing opening of the kindergarten she uncovered the bust of Zarifa Aliyeva and laid flowers on that.
Reconstruction of the kindergarten started early this year. The building was destructed and reconstructed as it was fully unsuitable. Meeting the modern standards the kindergarten has been designed for 120 children aged 3-6. There are photo stands in the lobby displaying concern of national leader Heydar Aliyev and Heydar Aliyev Foundation on children.
Children will be taught English and rhythmic gymnastics in the kindergarten.
Mehriban Aliyeva watched performance of children in the gymnastics hall, sincerely talked to them and wished them success.
Then, she familiarized herself with group rooms, bedrooms, game halls, pool and modern canteen.
In the hall designed for big ceremonies there are big monitor, special audio and video equipment.
The building has centralized security and heat systems. There is special ground in the yard to teach children traffic rules.
Mehriban Aliyeva highly valued new equipments and facilities.
The same day, Tofig Mammadov Secondary School 239 in Badamdar settlement was opened after repair on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Director of the School Sedaget Azimova said before repair over 1200 pupils attended the school in 4 sessions, but now children will study in one session only. First-formers of the School have been presented bags and 16 various supplies by the Foundation’s initiative.
The biggest present to the School was opening of the artificially-covered football ground. The national team of Azerbaijan of football players aged under 15 that holds exemplary trainings here has presented 50 footballs and sportswear to the School.
The building of School 105 in Elet settlement reconstructed in frame of the New School to New Azerbaijan Project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was opened September 15. The 250-pupil school has physics, biology, foreign languages cabinets, computer class and gym.
