New school building constructed in Liman city of Lankaran on initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation opened
Opening ceremony of the 1200-seat school building constructed in Liman city of Lankaran in frame of New School to New Azerbaijan Programme of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was held on January 26.
Addressing the ceremony executive director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov congratulated teachers and pupils, parents on the commissioning of the new education institution on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP. He noted in frame of the project carried out by Foundation in 2005 132 and in 2006 58 schools were built and commissioned, school construction will continue this year.
Head of Lankaran City Executive Power Suleiman Mikailov, head of education office Samadaga Abdullayev and director of school Kamil Huseynov expressed in their speeches gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, for concern about development of education in regions and strengthening its material and technical basis.
Guests were closely familiarized with conditions at newly built school. The school built in short time in modern style by Shebeke small enterprise has been equipped with new appliances and school matters.
Then, employees of Heydar Aliyev Foundation laid flowers on the monument of Heydar Aliyev in the park named after the national leader in central square of Lankaran city, paid tribute to memory of great leader.
Executive director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov and Head of Lankaran City Executive Power Suleiman Mikailov were familiarized with construction of Heydar Aliyev Museum in the park and renovation works implemented there.
The same day Osman Mirzayev mixed children home in Lankaran city fundamentally repaired at initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation was commissioned.
Addressing the ceremony director of school Ophelia Gambarova greeted the employees of Heydar Aliyev Foundation on behalf of teachers and pupils, underlined satisfaction of population for actions implemented by the President towards development of education and improvement of social state of education employees in country, expressed gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP, for care and attention shown to children deprived of parental care.
Addressing the event executive director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov gave greetings of President of Foundation Mrs Aliyeva to participants, congratulated teachers and pupils on the commissioning of the education and training institution after fundamental repair.
Guests got acquaintance with conditions created for children at the boarding school, had lunch with them.
