Heydar Aliyev Foundation presents new textbooks to georgian-language schools in Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan

Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Publishing House Pedagogika presented in frame of the Support to Education Programme new textbooks and education supplies to Georgian-language schools in Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan.


Ceremony was held on this occasion on September 26 at the secondary school of Gakh Ingiloy village of Gakh district with participation of senior education employees of those districts.


First, schoolchildren said poems in Azeri and Georgian languages on the friendship, performed national dances.


Alovsat Osmanly, director of Publishing House Pedagogika, Faig Shahbazly, head of Education Ministry’s Textbook and Publication Section, mentioned in their speeches like in all other fields in field of education also relations between neighbor Georgia are very rapidly developing, highly appreciated the fruitful action of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this sphere. They said it is already the third year textbooks and school supplies are presented to the Georgian-language schools within the Support to Education Programme. This year, pupils of third form also were supplied with new textbooks. That tradition will be continued and cover the upper forms as well.


Others addressing the ceremony underlined state care for development of education in Azerbaijan, expressed deep gratitude to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, and management of Publishing House Pedagogika for gifts.


Then, textbooks ‘Native language’, ‘Mathematics’ and ‘Knowledge about life’ developed by Publishing House Pedagogika under authorship of prominent scientists of Azerbaijan and originally published in Turkey, 367 school bags were presented to managers of education offices of Gakh, Zagatala and Balakan districts.
