President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized with secondary schools, children`s home in Zagatala and Sheki

In frame of the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the north-west region of the republic President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva visited secondary schools and children`s home.

On April 12 President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation arrived in secondary school 1 of Zagatala city. Mrs Aliyeva was warmly welcomed by teachers and schoolchildren.

Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva was informed 900 schoolchildren get education at the school functioning since 1916. The building was basically repaired in 2005 by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President of the Foundation visited the classrooms of the school, took interest in education and supply with manuals. She saw the photo corner dedicated to the national leader of our nation, library fund, wished success to the pedagogical body in education and training of the young generation.

Teachers thanked Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its president taking care of Azerbaijani education.

On April 13 Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva visited Sheki city children`s home of mixed type. The distinguished guest was sincerely met here. Highly valuing the works done by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in education and health spheres the pedagogical body expressed deep gratitude to Mrs Aliyeva.

Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva took interest in conditions of children`s home and education of children. It was informed at the home created in 1936, including 80 people at present time 37 people, as well 22 pedagogical employees work.

Mrs Aliyeva took interest in heat system of the building, quality of food given to children, saw the kitchen, bedrooms. She said the actions will be taken to repair classrooms, supply them with necessary appliances, the problems raised by pedagogical body regarding education will be settled.

Holiday table was laid here by Heydar Aliyev Foundation for children, they were given various gifts. Children greeted the distinguished guest with state hymn of Azerbaijan. Mrs Aliyeva had sincere talk with children at the table. Director of the home Khuraman Gafarova thanked the President of the Foundation for her care and attention to the orphans and children deprived of parental care.

Mrs Aliyeva said all children are native to her, every employee of Heydar Aliyev Foundation is always ready to be by your side. All our activity belongs to you. You have very nice and bright future. You should study well, grow, continue your education at higher school. You should know you have big and wonderful friends. I am always ready to be next to you, listen to you. I wish you success.

The same day Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mehriban Aliyeva arrived in Inja village secondary school in Sheki. The distinguished guest was presented flowers here. Meeting with schoolchildren Mrs Aliyeva recommended them to study well, wished them success in education and was taken photograph with them for memory.

Then Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva visited classrooms of this school built in 1937, fundamentally repaired within `New school to new Azerbaijan` program of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, involving now more than 500 children, took interest in education, course of classes, saw the library. It was informed the Foundation granted manuals in Latin type, other literature to the library.

Teachers highly valued the works done by Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its president for healthy and educated growth of future generations of Azerbaijan.
