President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized with Gachrash village secondary school named after Ibrahim Shahmardanov

President Ilham Aliyev paying a visit to Guba district arrived on October 7 to Gachrash village secondary school named after Ibrahim Shahmardanov.

The President and his spouse were sincerely welcomed here.

Director of the school Samaya Maharramova informed the President 397 children attend to the 240-seat school built on initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. 23 teachers work at the school. Previous building of the school built in the 1950s was fully destructed and 2-floor beautiful building was built in its place. The school was commissioned on September 15 new school year. The Foundation supplied necessary appliances, school devices, 7 computer sets with Internet access to the school possessing subject cabinets, football and volleyball grounds.

President of Azerbaijan and First Lady were familiarized with photo corners on life and activity of the great leader, attention he rendered to education and youth, activities of President Ilham Aliyev.

The President saw classrooms, gym, library and computer room, interested in education process, said every condition will further be created for high-level education of children. He noted big works are underway in the country in this sphere, buildings meeting modern standards constructed, secondary school computerization successfully continued.

Teachers expressed gratitude to the President and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for attention and care to them, said they will try to raise the future generation educated and patriot, and schoolchildren said they will get high-level education and become a worthy citizen of Azerbaijan.
