Heydar Aliyev Foundation presents new manuals and school appliances to Georgian-language schools

Heydar Aliyev Foundation held a ceremony on September 29 in secondary school of Gakh-Ingiloy village of Gakh district to present the new manuals and school appliances to I-II class pupils of the Georgian-language schools of Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala districts in frame of the program `Support to education`. MP Ganira Pashayeva, acting chief of department at Education Ministry Faig Shahbazly, heads of education offices of districts, media reps attended the event.

Reps of the Foundation and other guests were sincerely met at secondary school of Gakh-Ingiloy village. Schoolchildren said poems on friendship in Azeri and Georgian languages, performed national dances. Then, visitors toured the classrooms, had sincere talks with teachers and pupils.

Addressing the ceremony to present the manuals MP G.Pashayeva recalled big role of education in development of country, said this issue is one of priorities in activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Wide projects are underway in cities and districts, remote points of the republic by the Foundation. Over 200 new school buildings and extra buildings were built and commissioned in the country for last 2 years, and this is continued.

She noted President Ilham Aliyev attaches big importance to further expansion of ties with neighboring countries, including Georgia, development of relations in education and other spheres. MP underlined Heydar Aliyev Foundation carries out practical works in this field as well. New manuals have been published for I-II class pupils of Georgian-language schools of the republic with close participation of `Pedagogika` printing house. The manuals and school appliances that will be presented now to the managers of schools is a sign of attention and care Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP, renders to the development of education of national minorities in the republic. New manuals will be published in future in frame of this program for senior pupils.

Acting chief of department at Education Ministry Faig Shahbazly, director of `Pedagogika` printing house Alovsat Osmanly, deputy head of Gakh district executive power Ziyafat Khasiyeva, head of education department Mammad Khasiyev addressed the ceremony, emphasized the public care to development of education in Azerbaijan, highly valued effective activity of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and its President Mehriban Aliyeva in this sphere.

Director of Gakh-Ingiloy village school Natella Otarashvili expressed deep gratitude to the management of the Foundation on behalf of the teachers and pupils of the school for valuable presents and making the children happy.

Then, manuals and school appliances sent by Heydar Aliyev Foundation were solemnly presented to reps of education offices of Gakh, Balakan and Zagatala districts. Manuals `Native language`, `Mathematics` and `Life knowledge` prepared to publication under leadership of the outstanding scholars of the country and published at `Pedagogika` printing house differ much from previous manuals from point of view of study of our national and moral values, traditions, history and culture.

At the ceremony were presented 546 manuals on 3 subjects to I-II class pupils of Gakh district, 213 manuals to Zagatala district schools, 90 manuals to Balakan district schools, as well 265 schoolbags containing various school appliances.
